Clos Triguedina 'New Black Wine' 2008

This is one of the best wines from Cahors. There is very limited production of this particular wine from one of the oldest vineyards in the region. Matured in oak casks for 18 months, it is deep purple, almost black in colour. It has rich dried fruits and black fruits on the nose with hints of liquorice and sweet spices. On the palate there is a very complex variety of flavours. Elegant tannins, dried and black fruits, and cedar notes with hints of peeper and spices in perfect balance lead to a very long finish. An exceptional Malbec that is drinking now but will continue to age for well up to 20 years.
